Practical training for mission and crosscultural life. Whether you are preparing for a mission assignment, have been living in another culture for some time, or support others in mission work, good training and equipping can help you fulfil your role with greater confidence and expertise. Our training programmes are practical, interactive and tailored to the questions and challenges you encounter in everyday practice.
Building a Home Support Team that makes a difference together
Are you part of a home support team, or are you looking to set one up? A committed and well-equipped home support team can be invaluable to mission workers and their families. InToMission provides training, equipping and ongoing support for home support teams. We help you think through roles, responsibilities, expectations, communication within the team, and how you can support mission workers in a consistent and sustainable way.
Together, we build a strong home support network that cares, thinks alongside, prays for and carries mission workers and their families throughout preparation, their time on the field and re-entry.
Reflecting together on what a mission assignment means for parents
Is your son or daughter preparing to serve abroad as a mission worker, or are they already living and working in another culture? Their mission assignment brings changes not only for them, but also for you as a parent. ConnectInMission is a gathering specifically for parents of mission workers. Together, we explore themes such as letting go, staying connected across the distance, communication, and the changes that come with a mission assignment. There is space to share experiences, ask questions and connect with other parents. We can also provide an information or support-network evening for family members and others involved, helping them better understand and support mission workers and their families.
Seeing with new eyes. Learn to better understand yourself and others.
Are you living or working in another culture, or preparing to do so? This training helps you better understand cultural differences and navigate intercultural situations with greater confidence. You will discover how your own cultural background influences the way you think and act, and develop skills to communicate and collaborate more effectively in another cultural context. Through practical tools, personal reflection and the Intercultural Readiness Check, you will grow in intercultural sensitivity and be better prepared for living and working in another culture. Sign up for the two-day People in Cultures training.
Would you like to better understand yourself and the people around you? Life Languages training helps you gain insight into your own communication style as well as the communication styles of others. This helps you communicate more effectively, prevent misunderstandings and strengthen relationships, at home, within a team, or while living and working in another culture.
The training is suitable for singles, couples, teams and organisations and provides practical tools that you can apply directly in everyday life.
Equipped to support mission workers and their families well.
Are you involved in supporting mission workers and would you like to further develop your knowledge and skills? During our Member Care Training, you will explore key themes that contribute to effective support, including transition, culture shock, re-entry, Third Culture Kids (TCKs), resilience and other aspects of Member Care. The training is rooted in the realities of mission work and provides practical tools that you can apply directly when supporting mission workers and their families. There is also space to share experiences, discuss questions and learn from one another, helping you provide support with greater knowledge, confidence and professional expertise.
Learn how to support others in processing significant and challenging experiences.
Would you like to support mission workers, families or others as they process significant or challenging experiences? During the Debriefer Training, you will learn how to facilitate debriefing conversations in a professional, sensitive and thoughtful way. Drawing on the realities of mission work, you will develop the knowledge and skills needed to help people process their experiences and recognise underlying themes. The training combines theory, practical exercises and personal reflection. It is designed for support workers, coaches, staff of mission organisations and others who want to develop their debriefing skills within a mission and intercultural context.
