Personal support tailored to your mission. Every mission assignment is different. That is why we offer different forms of support, tailored to your situation and the stage of your journey. Whether you are just beginning to prepare, have been living abroad for some time, or need support with a specific challenge, we are here to walk alongside you for part of your journey.
Discover step by step where God is calling you
Do you sense that God is calling you to something, but are not yet sure what that is or what it might look like? Perhaps you have a desire to make a difference through mission or crosscultural work, but the direction is not yet clear. The Mission Journey is designed for this season of exploration and discernment. Through a series of personal conversations, we take time to explore together what is on your heart. We listen to your story, think things through with you, and reflect on your calling, gifts, desires and life circumstances. Together, we explore the possibilities and seek to discern the path God is leading you on. Step by step, a clearer vision for mission begins to take shape, giving you confidence to take the next step.
Good preparation lays the foundation for a healthy mission assignment
Are you preparing to serve abroad and want to be well equipped for living and working in another culture? Then Prepare4Mission is for you. Through approximately ten personal sessions, we guide you step by step as you prepare for your mission assignment. Together, we reflect on who you are, what your calling means, and what it takes to live and work in a healthy way within another cultural context.
We explore personal, relational, spiritual, practical and intercultural themes that are important for good preparation. As part of the programme, we also use the books Equipped for Mission and Foreign to Familiar.
Personal support, wherever in the world you may be
Are you currently serving abroad and would you value having someone alongside you to reflect and think things through with? A Journey on Mission offers personal support throughout your time on the field, tailored to your situation and the season you are in.
Whether you choose ongoing support or guidance around a specific question or challenge, we are here to walk alongside you for part of your journey. In this way, we help you continue to live and work in another culture with health, resilience and confidence
Preparing for mission together as a family
Are you preparing to serve abroad as a family? Then Family2Mission is for you. This preparation programme helps your whole family get ready for living and working in another culture, with attention to both parents and children. Together, we explore what the mission assignment means for each family member and how you can prepare well as a family for this new season. The programme can begin before departure and, if desired, continue while you are on the field. In addition, we work together with several organisations on Family2Mission – On the Journey as a Family, a series of online preparation workshops for families getting ready to serve abroad.
Growing together between cultures
Are your children growing up between different cultures? This can bring many enriching experiences, as well as new challenges. Both parents and Third Culture Kids (TCKs) may benefit from someone who listens, offers advice or provides personal support. InToMission offers support for both parents and TCKs themselves. Together, we explore themes such as identity, development, education, transition, loss and growing up between cultures. Support can take place online while you are on the field or in person during home leave when you are in the Netherlands. In this way, we support the whole family as you navigate the different stages of mission and crosscultural life.
Working together towards recovery, balance and resilience
Are you experiencing high levels of stress, or do you feel that the demands of mission life are becoming too much? Living and working in another culture can place significant demands on you. Change, cultural adjustment and high expectations can leave you feeling out of balance. InToMission offers support for stress and burnout. Together, we explore what you need to recognise warning signs early, strengthen your resilience and restore a healthy balance. If burnout has caused you to step back from your work, we support you step by step through the process of recovery and processing what you have experienced. In this way, we help you move forward with renewed energy and confidence in your life and calling. Our support is based on the approach and methodology of the CSR Centrum and is tailored to your personal situation.
Building a Home Support Team that makes a difference together
Are you part of a home support team, or are you looking to set one up? A committed and well-equipped home support team can be invaluable to mission workers and their families. InToMission provides training, equipping and ongoing support for home support teams. We help you think through roles, responsibilities, expectations, communication within the team, and how you can support mission workers in a consistent and sustainable way.
Together, we build a strong home support network that cares, thinks alongside, prays for and carries mission workers and their families throughout preparation, their time on the field and re-entry.
Coming home can take more than simply returning
Are you returning to the Netherlands after a period of serving abroad? Then a new season begins. Coming home can be a positive experience, but it can also bring unexpected challenges. Changes on a practical, relational, emotional and spiritual level need time and attention. The Re-entry Programme consists of six personal sessions spread over approximately six to twelve months. Together, we reflect on your experiences, support you as you readjust to life in the Netherlands, and help you find a new balance between all that you have experienced and the life that now lies ahead. There is space both to reflect on what you have been through and to explore how you want to move forward in this new season. In this way, we support you step by step as you find your footing again in the Netherlands
You don’t have to navigate a major transition on your own
Are you facing a significant change, such as moving abroad, relocating to another country, or entering a new season in your life and ministry?
A Transition Support Programme can help you navigate this transition with awareness and in a healthy way.
Depending on your situation, the programme consists of one or several personal sessions. Together, we reflect on what is changing, how these changes are affecting you, and what you need during this time.
In this way, we support you in staying resilient, even during times of significant change.
