Are you returning to the Netherlands after a period of serving abroad? This often marks the beginning of a new transition. Coming home is not always easy and can sometimes be even more challenging than leaving. InToMission offers debriefing programmes and re-entry support to help you navigate this transition with awareness and in a healthy way. Together, we reflect on what you have experienced, process the experiences of your mission assignment, and look ahead to this new season of your life. In this way, we support you both in processing your time on the field and in finding your place in this new season.
Take time to reflect and move forward with confidence
Would you like to take time to reflect on everything you have experienced during your mission assignment? A debriefing programme can help you process your experiences, find direction for what lies ahead and move forward with confidence. Debriefing can be valuable during home leave, at the end of a mission assignment as part of re-entry, or following significant events such as a crisis, conflict, trauma or an unexpected return home. Think of it as unpacking a backpack. It holds beautiful memories, valuable lessons and moments when you experienced God’s presence, but sometimes also painful experiences, disappointments and loss. Together, we take time to reflect on your story and explore what you need to give these experiences a place and move forward.
Coming home can take more than simply returning
Are you returning to the Netherlands after a period of serving abroad? Then a new season begins. Coming home can be a positive experience, but it can also bring unexpected challenges. Changes on a practical, relational, emotional and spiritual level need time and attention. The Re-entry Programme consists of six personal sessions spread over approximately six to twelve months. Together, we reflect on your experiences, support you as you readjust to life in the Netherlands, and help you find a new balance between all that you have experienced and the life that now lies ahead. There is space both to reflect on what you have been through and to explore how you want to move forward in this new season. In this way, we support you step by step as you find your footing again in the Netherlands
You don’t have to navigate a major transition on your own
Are you facing a significant change, such as moving abroad, relocating to another country, or entering a new season in your life and ministry?
A Transition Support Programme can help you navigate this transition with awareness and in a healthy way.
Depending on your situation, the programme consists of one or several personal sessions. Together, we reflect on what is changing, how these changes are affecting you, and what you need during this time.
In this way, we support you in staying resilient, even during times of significant change.
Recognition, connection and encouragement during re-entry
Have you returned to the Netherlands and would you value meeting others who are going through a similar transition? During our Re-entry Connection Days, you will meet other mission workers who are navigating the re-entry phase. In a relaxed setting, there is space to share stories, exchange experiences and talk together about what returning to the Netherlands means for you. Separate gatherings are organised for Ladies Only and Men Only, creating space for openness, shared experiences and mutual understanding.
The Re-entry Connection Days offer an opportunity to connect with others, find encouragement and know that you are not alone in navigating this season.
