InToMission

Healthy and resilient in mission!

InToMission Foundation

The Foundation wholeheartedly supports the work of InToMission. It was established on 16 July 2024 to help ensure the continuity and further development of InToMission’s growing work.

Our mission is to put the gospel of Jesus Christ into practice within a crosscultural context, rooted in our Christian identity. We do this, among other things, by inspiring, equipping and supporting mission and crosscultural workers so that they can fulfil their mission in a sustainable, healthy and effective way. In doing so, we long to see God’s love made visible around the world.

To contribute to this mission, InToMission provides training, retreat weeks, courses, debriefing programmes, individual support programmes and other activities.

Over the coming years, we will focus on:

  • Further equipping our team;
  • Deepening and further developing our intercultural support programmes and activities;
  • Expanding our national and international network;
  • Developing digital resources and tools.

Board

The board of the InToMission Foundation currently consists of three enthusiastic members: Albert Koelewijn, Adriënne Strengholt and Gerolf Storteboom.

We are a committed and dedicated board, supporting the growth and development of InToMission. Drawing on our different backgrounds, experience and expertise, we work together to build a strong, sustainable and healthy organisation, enabling InToMission to continue equipping and supporting people in the years ahead.

To help us further develop our mission, we are looking for new board members, particularly someone with experience in or an affinity for fundraising. Would you like to contribute your knowledge, network and commitment to the work of InToMission? Feel free to get in touch with us. We look forward to meeting you

Albert Koelewijn - Chairman

A meaningful life, making a difference, loving God and loving your neighbour as yourself are important values that motivate me. In 2022, I concluded my business activities and retired.
I currently serve as Chair of the InToMission Foundation, Treasurer of Xpeditie3.6.0 and Chair of Quo Vadis Running Club. Over the years, I have also held, and continue to hold, various roles within the Reformed Church (PKN) in Bunschoten-Spakenburg.

I graduated in Business Economics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and worked as a management consultant from 1978 onwards. In 1986, I specialised in developing and supporting commercial partnerships, particularly in the field of franchising. In 1988, I founded Koelewijn & Partners, Franchise Management Consultants, followed in 2000 by FranchisePlus, a professional magazine and online platform.

From 2009 to 2022, I was co-director of Tandzorg op Maat, an organisation of dental practices, together with a dentist.

My name is Adriënne Strengholt, and I lived in the Middle East with my family for many years. During our time there, I became involved in member care and decided to pursue further studies in this field. Living in another culture is not always easy, particularly when working with people facing difficult circumstances. You encounter many challenging and deeply moving stories and situations, often involving people living under immense pressure.

It is essential that crosscultural workers are not only able to cope with these circumstances, but also receive the support they need. Over the years, alongside supporting people during or after a crisis, I have increasingly come to recognise the importance of preventive care. Helping people build resilience in challenging circumstances and providing support when needed can make a significant difference.

I believe strongly in the importance of InToMission’s work and am grateful for the opportunity to be involved.

Adrienne Strengholt – Secretary
Gerolf Storteboom – Treasurer

My name is Gerolf Storteboom. After an active career in retail, personal circumstances took my life in a completely different direction. Over the years, I have been involved with the Evangelisch Werkverband, the Centre for Bible Research and the Spanish Evangelical Mission.

I currently work part-time for Bond tegen vloeken and Family7. In addition, I am involved with Stichting Leven uit de Bron, my local Protestant Church (PKN), and the Pastoral Care for Deliverance and Inner Healing team in Ermelo.

Within InToMission, I serve as Treasurer on the board, ensuring that the organisation’s finances are and remain in good order. It may not be InToMission’s core business, but it is just as important.
